Livingston youngster Dylan Easton has only ever scored one senior goal however, his goal in Livi’s Scottish Communities League Cup 3-2 success over Dumbarton was good enough to be chosen as the first winner of tis season's SFL Goal of the Month competition.

Dylan Easton (centre) celebrates his goal with team matesEaston struck in extra-time with a low right foot shot from the edge of the box after a 14 pass move involving five Livi players that opened up the Sons defence and was voted by the media panel from the ten best goals scored in July and August.

The 18-year-old from Edinburgh was delighted to be told of his success saying: “I thought it was great that the goal turned out to be the winner in our 3-2 success but receiving this award makes it even better.  The Manager is always telling us to pass and move and that goal came from a lot of passing and moving.

“The build-up down the left wing was top drawer and I was involved a couple of times by playing a couple of one-two passes before shooting home.  It was not a bad way to score my first ever goal for Livingston.”

Easton, who has been with the club for 18 months, said: “I have been a substitute in a few games now and I now want to establish myself in the first team.  Hopefully, I can grab a few more goals although I cannot guarantee that they will be as good as that one.”
