Queen of the South have been boosted by the news that three of their key players have agreed contract extensions.
Forwards Iain Russell and Derek Lyle (pictured) and skipper Chris Higgins have all signed on for another season at Palmerston. The Dumfries club are fourth in the Championship and a win away to Alloa on Saturday will seal a play-off place.
Manager James Fowler told the club website: "I'm delighted the players have pledged their future for next season - they have been key players for us and are big characters within the squad. Discussions with others continue and I hope to get a few more tied up in the coming weeks."
