Queen of the South have signed experienced midfielder John Rankin following his departure earlier today from Falkirk.
The 33-year-old former Ross County, Inverness Caley Thistle, Hibernian and Dundee United player links up with Gary Naysmith's team at Palmerston.
The Queens boss told their website: “He has signed an 18-month contract and will be an integral part of what I'm trying to build. We have Joe (Thomson) and Dom (Thomas) on short-term deals but I think it's important we also have players signed up as part of our longer-term plans.”
