A second Dunfermline youngster has attracted the attention of English scouts with the East End Park side’s under-14 attacker Scott Sutherland invited to spend a week training with the Blackburn Rovers Academy in August.
Sutherland who is signed up with the Pars again for next season heads south just a few months after under-13 goalkeeper Josh Donaldson was invited to go on trial with Premiership Champions Manchester United.
Head of Youth at Dunfermline Stephen Wright said: “Scott has had a fantastic season and scored a lot of goals. Spending a week at Blackburn is a great reward and a chance for him to test himself against top opposition from England. I am sure he will enjoy the experience.”
