SFL represented in Sbragia's squad

Falkirk and Rangers provide players for under-19 squad

Lewis Macleod in action for Rangers

Scotland Under-19 coach Ricky Sbragia has unveiled his squad for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite round that will see his Scotland side take on hosts Belgium, Georgia and England later this month.

The games will take place on May 24 to May 29 and he winners of the group will progress to this summer’s finals in Lithuania.

The Scots have been hit with injuries with Sbragia saying: “We lost Joe Chalmers from Celtic out of the squad just as it was announced and that is disappointing. We are already without Callum Paterson, Barrie McKay, Marcus Fraser and Thomas Reilly so from our original pool of 25 we are getting low.”

“John Herron is carrying a knock and Lewis Macleod just returned to playing on Saturday after a few months out so we will need to keep an eye on him. We have three very difficult teams especially against the Belgian and English sides especially.”

Sbragia’s Under-19 squad is:-

Goalkeepers:  Jack Hamilton (Hearts), Jonathan Henly (Reading)

Defenders:  Alex Davey (Chelsea), Stuart Findlay (Celtic), Jack Grimmer (Fulham), Stephen Kingsley (Falkirk), Mark O’Hara (Kilmarnock), John Souttar (Dundee United)

Midfielders:  John Herron (Celtic), Jamie Lindsay (Celtic), Lewis MacLeod (Rangers), John McGinn (St. Mirren).

Forwards:  Mark Beck (Carlisle United), Islam Feruz (Chelsea), Ryan Fraser (Bournemouth), Ryan Gauld (Dundee United), Matthew Kennedy (Everton), Billy King (Hearts)
