Former Dumbarton striker Bryan Prunty recently scored his 100th career in Airdrie's victory over Forfar at the Excelsior Stadium.

The ex-Celtic youth player claimed his first senior goal for Aberdeen and has also netted for Inverness Caley Thistle, Ayr United, Alloa and Dumbarton – with one his goals becoming an internet sensation!

What’s the best goal you have ever scored?
The one that has been viewed more than 250,000 times on YouTube! It came for Dumbarton against Livingston in February 2013 and was an overhead kick from 18 yards after a touch on my chest. I caught it really well but it was not a one-off as I have scored a couple of similar efforts. That goal helped Dumbarton to a 3-2 win at Livingston - they have won every game there since so it was good to help kick that run off in decent style.

What is the best game you have played in?
That was a Scottish Cup tie against Kilmarnock when I was with Ayr United at Somerset Park back in 2009. We came back to secure a 2-2 draw in a good old-fashioned cup tie at a very atmospheric ground and it was an exciting game to be part of. It was that exciting that Alex Williams kissed the referee after we had equalised!

What is your favourite away ground?
Hampden. I scored a hat-trick there the season Ayr United were promoted and to do that at the National Stadium was a bit special.

What is your favourite other sport?
Bowls - both indoor and outdoor. It is a big part of our family and lots of people are involved in it. I do not think I will get competitive with them once I stop playing football as they are much better than me.

Which player in the world would you bring to Airdrie?
That has to be Lionel Messi. He just has everything you want to see in an attacking player. He gets kicked and just picks himself up and gets on with it.

What is your favourite pre-match meal?
Fish and beans. That has been my meal since I was a youngster and remains the same.

What is your favourite music?

I have a wide and varied taste and will listen to anything ranging from Abba to hip-hop. A few boys do the tunes for Airdrie and, to be honest, I am not overly familiar with a lot of what they put on!

Who is the biggest moaner you have played with?

Mark Gilhaney at Dumbarton. I will put it down to 'wee-man syndrome' as he is always moaning in training and in games! However, I do respect him for it as he has a great will to win.

Who has been your most skilful team-mate?
I played with Shaun Maloney when we were teenagers at Celtic. You could tell then that he was something special and he has gone on to do really well in his career. Hopefully he will do well for Scotland again this weekend.

Who is your worst dressed team-mate?
My big chum - Jim Lister. He will wear what he wants and not care what anyone thinks, even in his jeans and flip flops. On the pitch he is a terrific player to play alongside as he is a real handful for defenders as I have seen in our times together at Alloa, Dumbarton and now Airdrie.

Who was the best trainer?
Henrik Larsson. He was simply unbelievable and was inspirational to watch in training. He deserved to go to the very top of the game due to the amount of work he put into things off the park.

And the best dancer?!
Bryan Prunty - I like to think that I have a wee shuffle in me!
