Stranraer striker Jamie Longworth has been a key man for the League 1 leaders this season and is the latest player to go under the SPFL Spotlight.

What is the best goal you have scored?
That came on Boxing Day in 2013 for Stranraer against Rangers. It was the most important one I have scored as it was Stranraer's first ever goal at Ibrox and secured their first point against Rangers. It came from an Andy Stirling cross to the back post and, rather than hitting it first time, I took a touch back across goal and then put it into the net. It was in the last minute and was also the goal that saw Rangers drop their first points of the season.

What is the best game you have played in?
I have two - with the first coming in my Queen's Park days when we beat Elgin 6-0 in January 2012 and I scored four times. My first goal was one of my best ever but it was the first Queen's game in about 20 years that was not filmed so not many people have seen it! At Stranraer last season I scored a hat-trick in a game at Ayr United that we won 6-3 so that was really special.

What is your favourite away ground?
That has to be Hampden, which is now an away ground even though I have not played there for Stranraer. Everything about the place is fantastic, from the surface to the changing rooms to the sense of history you get when you play there. When you get asked to join Queen’s Park, playing at Hampden is a great selling point.

What is your favourite other sport?
I am a PE Teacher away from football so it would be fair to say I like a lot of sports - my favourite is badminton. I play that quite a bit during the week as well.

Which player in the world would you like to have played with?
I watched a programme over the Christmas period about the best ever Premiership XI and was delighted to see Dennis Bergkamp in it. He was one of the best players I have seen and was wonderful in the No 10 role. In terms of current players, my favourite is Cristiano Ronaldo but Bergkamp was better.

What is your favourite pre-match meal?
We have a pre-match most weeks, either at Stranraer or on the way to an away game. I stick to the same things - chicken, pasta and some vegetables. Our skipper Frank McKeown also has us all looking after ourselves with Herbalife products so protein shakes are taken as well.

What is your favourite music?
I am not into any particular music and that works well at the club. Grant Gallagher puts together the tunes and it can range from a bit of Take That to the GB Experience. He caters for everyone's tastes and that suits me.

Who is the biggest moaner you have played with?
That would be Craig Malcolm, who came back to the club from Ayr United in the summer. I was well warned that he liked a good moan and within five minutes of pre-season I knew what the players meant as he was on everyone's case!

Who is your most skilful team-mate?
At Stranraer we have guys like Willie Gibson and Stephen Stirling who are great with the ball at their feet. Andy Stirling, who is now at Dunfermline, was the same and at Queen's Park Aidan Connolly was another player who was really tricky and he will show that at Dundee United.

Who is your worst dressed team-mate?
We had a two-night stay in Belfast before Christmas and the first was the Christmas jumper night and a few boys could win it on that alone. The second was just a normal night and Scott Robertson had an amazing shirt on so he wins it for that!

Who is the best trainer you have played with?
David Anderson, who I was with at Kilbirnie Ladeside and Queen's Park. He worked really hard during training and would then stay behind and do sit-ups and press-ups. Grant Gallagher is another player who works really hard as well.

Who is the best dancer at Stair Park?
That has to be Sean Winter, who is fairly confident about his dancing when you see the things he comes out with. He even pulls some great shapes in the changing room!
