Kilmarnock host Premiership leaders Dundee United on Friday night, live on BT Sport with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Allan Johnston’s men have also made a good start to the season and former Aberdeen and St Mirren player Josh Magennis, capped by Northern Ireland, falls under the SPFL Spotlight this week.
What’s the best goal you have ever scored?
That has to be the one for Aberdeen against Inverness Caley Thistle in November 2012. A pass was played up to me when I had my back to goal with a defender behind me. I flicked the ball to the side and ran around my marker. It was all instinct as I did not have it planned but I got to the ball before their goalkeeper and lifted it over him to make it 2-1. Unfortunately, we lost the game 3-2 but it is good memory from a club that I really enjoyed playing at.
What’s the best game you have played in?
On a personal level it has to be scoring twice against Celtic at Celtic Park and setting up a goal for Scott Vernon in March 2013. It was 1-1 at half-time after Scott scored and I then converted a Gavin Rae pass to put us in front. Gavin then had a shot at goal via a corner and I turned it home with a cheeky flick. It was great for me to do so well but it ended up a disappointing day as Georgios Samaras scored an overhead kick in injury time for Celtic to win 4-3.
What is your favourite away ground?
That has to be Hampden Park although again it was not in games that Aberdeen won. I played there in a League Cup semi-final in January 2011 and then again three months later in a Scottish Cup semi-final but unfortunately Celtic beat us both times.
What is your favourite other sport?
My favourite other sport is also football as that is all I am really interested in! At a push I will get involved in watching boxing and rugby but, unlike a lot of footballers, I hate golf. Walking around for four hours does nothing for me!
Which player in the world would you bring to Kilmarnock to play alongside?
The first would be Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is amazing as he simply just does what he wants. It would then be Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The guys that play with those two players at the moment will realise later in life just how lucky they have been.
What is your favourite pre-match meal?
Toast with scrambled eggs, beans and brown sauce. It has to be brown sauce!
Who are your favourite band?
That has to be the Stereophonics or U2.
Who is the biggest moaner you have played with?
The biggest moaner at Kilmarnock is Jamie Hamill but he moans for the right reasons as he wants to win. The worst ever was Jay Bothroyd at Cardiff who complained on and off the park. If you did not give him exactly what he was looking for you knew all about it!
Who has the best football tricks?
Chris Johnston does some pretty amazing things with a ball and so does Tope Obadeyi but the difference is that Chris means them! Chris Burke, who I used to play with at Cardiff, was also a really tricky player.
Who is the worst dressed at the club?
That is easy! Paul Cairney – someone needs to tell him he is not a skateboarder.
Who is the best trainer?
Mark Connolly is a machine and sets really high standards. He works really hard and if something is not going for him in training he just works even harder until it does.
Who is the best dancer?
That has to be Lee ‘Snakehips’ Miller. I played with him at Aberdeen and we are together again at Kilmarnock and he is the man with the moves.
