What is the best goal you have ever scored?
I will pick one from my time in England and one from my time in Scotland. My one down south was for Blackpool at Wembley against Yeovil Town in the League Two play-off final. I got the ball in quite a wide position and cut in towards goal. Things opened up in front of me and I was able to curl the ball home from 25 yards to make it 2-0. I had also been brought down for the foul we opened the scoring from so it was a good day.

My goal in Scotland won the IRN-BRU Goal of the Season back in 2011/12. It was an overhead kick against Dundee for Ayr in a game we won 2-1. I also scored a free-kick in that game so that was another good day.

What is the best game you have played in?
The Wembley game was terrific, however I will go for a League Cup tie for Blackpool against Tottenham Hotspur at a packed White Hart Lane.  It was Juande Ramos’ first game in charge and they had a team that included Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe. To play against those guys was a bit special and we had chances in the first half before losing 2-0.

What is your favourite away ground?
The Liberty Stadium, Swansea. There is always a good crowd there and I managed to score a few times when I played there. Two of the goals were quite special.

What is your favourite other sport?
I play a bit of snooker every week with my former team-mates at Airdrie and that can get competitive. I also play a bit of tennis during the summer to keep fit.

Which player in the world would you bring to Clyde?
In their prime I would have loved to play alongside either Michael Owen or Ally McCoist. They were both really good goalscorers.

What is your favourite pre-match meal?

We were up at Elgin during the week and stopped off for some chicken and pasta. I have that before every game along with some toast.

What is your favourite music?
I actually like a lot of stuff from the 1980s and listen to a good bit of Duran Duran. The boys at Clyde prefer more fired-up music but some of the stuff they listen to can give you a sore head!

Who is the biggest moaner you have played with?

Alan Kernaghan, who I played with at St Johnstone - I can still hear him shouting ‘Keigan’ at me!

Who is the most skilful player you have played with?
Wes Hoolahan, who can bring any ball down, keep it from the opposition and make a killer pass. I played with him at Blackpool and Livingston fans must regret not seeing the best of him.

Who was is, or was, your worst dressed team-mate?
Tommy Lovenkrands at St Johnstone. He had that 1970s’ Scandinavian look down to a fine art and could easily have passed as one of Abba, even though it was 2000!

Who is the best trainer you have played with?

Darren Dods, who gave everything in training. It usually ended up with a team-mate injured but he always gave everything!

And the best dancer?!
Marc McCulloch, although it may have been more stumbling than dancing!
