Paul Burns has played more than 300 games for Queen of the South and is the latest player to go under the SPFL Spotlight.
What is the best goal you have scored?
It has to be the one in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen in 2008. The ball came across from the left and my first attempt was blocked but the ball sat up really nicely. I put my second shot high into the net to make it 2-1.
What is the best game you have played in?
That semi-final against Aberdeen, which we went on to win 4-3. It was an amazing game and one everyone had written us off for. We were major underdogs playing a big Premier League club with big players but we got through. The celebrations at the end showed what that result meant.
What is your favourite away ground?
That has to be Hampden, despite losing the final 3-2 to Rangers. I have scored there twice - the semi-final and also at the start of the next season in a cup tie against Queen’s Park.
What is your favourite other sport?
Golf. I play when I can but not as often as I would like. I have a handicap of 15 and that is my genuine handicap!
Which player in the world would you have brought to Queen of the South?
Roy Keane - I grew up thinking he was a terrific player and a great competitor. It would have been great to play in a midfield alongside him and see how much I could have learned.
What is your favourite pre-match meal?
I always have some Weetabix followed by scrambled eggs
What is your favourite music?
I like Indie Music – mostly stuff like Oasis. Iain Russell does the tunes for the players and, to be fair to him, he does a decent job.
Who is the biggest moaner you have played with?
Steven Tosh - always moaning but it was a good attribute to have. Tosher was always demanding high standards from those around him.
Who is or was your most skilful team-mate?
Stephen Dobbie - a terrific player.
Who is or was your worst dressed team-mate?
Big Jim Thomson, who was part of the Scottish Cup side of 2008. I am not sure where to start with Jim, other than to say cords or jeans with big stitching down the sides are not a good look!
Who is the best trainer?
Our captain, Chris Higgins. He sets a great example.
And the best dancer!?
Michael Paton by a mile!
Craig Stewart
