Montrose boss Steven Tweed cancelled the Third Division side’s usual Thursday night training session as soon as he opened his curtains yesterday morning to see a blanket of snow covering his garden and surrounding area.
Tweed said, “I got in touch with the players and told them not to come in as the snow was really bad. We are quite hopeful that we will get the pitch cleared in time for our match with East Stirling to go ahead, referee’s permitting on Saturday.”
