Annan’s experienced player/ coach Peter Weatherston underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair the cruciate ligament he injured back in November. The 33 year old former Queen of the South and Morton player was injured in the warm up to a game against Stirling Albion and was immediately ruled out for 12 months.
Galabank manager Jim Chapman said: “It is a big step forward for Peter and I am delighted to say that his operation went really well.”
“He has been a big miss to us as he is a very experienced player but he has been able to get more closely involved in coaching so there has been one benefit.”
