It was a good weekend for Livingston, who reached the Petrofac Training Cup final and Forfar Athletic, who lead League 1.
@spl stats takes a more detailed look at some of the numbers behind the latest SPFL matches:
2 Livingston's penalty shoot-out success over Stranraer on Sunday sealed their place in the Petrofac Training Cup final for just the second time. The West Lothian club's only previous appearance was in 2000/01, when they lost on penalties to an Airdrieonians side featuring future Livi stars Javier Sanchez Broto and David Fernandez. John McGlynn's men have enjoyed extra-time this season – Sunday's game was the fifth of seven cup ties to go the full distance and they've won all of them.
29 Saturday's match between Hibernian and Dumbarton was the first meeting of the sides in the league for 29 years. Their previous encounter came in the Premier Division in April 1985 at Boghead, when Hibs won 2-0 courtesy of goals from Willie Irvine and Brian Rice, a result which helped keep them up at the expense of the Sons. The goalless draw extended Dumbarton's unbeaten league run to six matches, with just two goals conceded in the process. Despite dropping two points in their play-off push, Hibs could take the positive of keeping a clean sheet at Easter Road for the first time in 2014.
6 Forfar Athletic's 3-0 win at home to Stenhousemuir was their sixth consecutive league victory at Station Park (five this season and one at the end of 2013/14). The last time the Loons picked up six home league wins in a row was between March and August 1984 - a run which coincided with their most recent promotion to the second tier of Scottish football. They will have a chance to make it seven in a row for the first time since World War II when they face Stranraer in a fortnight. The Warriors, on the other hand, have now lost all four away league matches, and have failed to score in four consecutive matches on the road for the first time since 2002.
8 Morton's 2-0 victory over Stirling Albion extended their unbeaten run at Cappielow to eight league matches. There could scarcely be a bigger difference between their recent home and away form - in their last eight league games at Cappielow their record is W7 D1 L0 F17 A3 Pts 22 while away from home their record is W1 D0 L7 F8 A25 Pts 3. The current run also represents the first time since the winter of 2008 that the Ton have won four home matches in a row.
13 Queen's Park's 3-1 win over East Stirlingshire at Ochilview took them to 13 points from their opening eight matches of the season. The Spiders had just two points at this stage last season, and didn't reach the 13-point mark until mid-January, by which time they had played 20 games. They are unbeaten in their last seven visits to the Shire (W6 D1), and have scored 17 goals in those matches.
