The 20 SPFL games played on Saturday and Sunday produced 13 home wins, five away wins and two draws, with 61 goals scored.
@splstats takes a more detailed look at some of the numbers behind the weekend matches.
87 Derek McInnes celebrated his 50th league match in charge of Aberdeen with a 3-2 victory over Inverness CT. His record so far is P50 W25 D12 L13 F67 A48, giving him a points tally of 87. That represents the best start of any manager at a club other than Rangers or Celtic since fellow Dons boss Willie Miller, who took over in 1992. Miller managed in the two points for a win era, but his haul would have been 95 points under the current system. McInnes' start even puts him ahead of Scotland's greatest ever manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, who would have picked up 74 points from his first 50 games at Pittodrie under a three points for a win system.
7 Hamilton Accies extended their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches with a 4-0 win away to Motherwell. This is Accies' longest run without defeat in the top flight since the 1934/35 season, when they strung together eight matches in a row. Curiously, the seventh match of that run was also a thumping victory over Motherwell – they beat their local rivals 6-1 at Douglas Park on New Year's Day 1935. Saturday's 4-0 success was Accies' biggest win over the Steelmen since then, and was also their biggest ever victory at Fir Park.
5 Hearts beat Livingston 5-0 at Tynecastle on Sunday to follow on from their 5-1 victory over Cowdenbeath last week. The last time the Jambos scored five (or more) goals in back-to-back league matches was just over 50 years ago, in the opening two matches of the 1963/64 season. Back then, they recorded an 8-1 win over Airdrieonians at Tynecastle, before picking up a 5-3 victory away to rivals Hibernian at Easter Road.
1 Forfar Athletic's 3-1 win at home to Brechin City elevated them to the summit of League 1. The last time they were top of this division was in August 2010, but on that occasion they were only three matches into the season. The Loons haven't been top of the third tier table this far into the season since the 1991/92 campaign, when they led after weeks nine and 10 of the season before eventually finishing fourth. Dick Campbell's side have now recorded five league wins in a row at Station Park for the first time since March and April of 2010.
22 Arbroath's 1-0 victory over Elgin at Gayfield on Saturday means there has still never been a draw between the two sides in a competitive match. They have now met 22 times in all competitions, and the Red Lichties have 13 wins to Elgin's nine. The weekend match put a dent in the recent goals-per-game average of this fixture – the previous five matches had featured 35 goals, while on Saturday the sides managed just one between them.
